Japanese Weaving Shuttle

I found those shuttles at a spinning show in Kyoto, Japan. They were extremely light weight and were originally made specially for a homespun weaver, who needed shuttles for his extremely fine spun wools. The longer ones are created so that you do not have to reach into the warp.

They can hold the regular wooden quils or bamboo quils.

Please note that the colors you see on the screen may not be accurate as each monitor displays differently. Thank you for your understanding.
size: 45 cm. long, approx. 3 cm. wide, opening for quil is appro. 19.5 cm.
