aos-14 | ramie bark

 

This bark is what makes the ramie ball AOS-44. Normally, the outer skin like this is discarded, but the dark reddish color is preserved specially as we think it is so beautiful. Please soak it to soften before you start splitting into a finer fiber. Can be used for a weft yarn for weaving. Incredibly interesting for basket making also.
